Mandate

You mandate us verbally or in writing, in external relations by signing a written power of attorney. The details of the mandate are determined in a personal meeting, during which the further procedure is also discussed. In order to cover the initial expenses, we ask you to bring a cash advance of CHF 300.00 to the initial meeting. This payment will then be deducted from the expenses incurred.

The conduct of the mandate is governed by the rules of professional conduct of the Swiss as well as the St.Gallen Bar Association.

Fees

In principle, the services are invoiced on the basis of an agreed hourly fee according to the time spent. The hourly rate depends on the value of the interest and the experience or specialization of the lawyer entrusted with the mandate. As a rule, it amounts to between CHF 250 and CHF 300. Cash expenses (postage, copies, travel expenses, etc.) and fees must also be taken into account. Furthermore, the fees are generally subject to VAT (currently 7.7% VAT). For notarizations / certifications, we charge a moderate notarization fee in addition to the hourly fee.

Legal Protection Insurance

Find out whether you have legal protection insurance (Beobachter Assistance, health insurance company including legal protection insurance, professional association, etc.). If you are involved in a traffic accident through no fault of your own, the car liability insurer must pay the legal fees.

Free Legal Assistance

If you do not have the necessary financial means to cover the costs of proceedings and lawyers' fees incurred in connection with court proceedings, you can apply for free legal assistance at any time. The court will approve such a request if your own procedural position is not considered to be hopeless and your financial need is proven. In order to roughly assess your chances of being granted free legal aid and, if necessary, to be able to submit a corresponding application as soon as possible, we ask you to compile the necessary documents (checklist) as completely as possible and to bring them to the initial meeting.

Invoicing

Usually a payment on account is agreed upon. The final invoice is usually issued after completion of the mandate. In the case of lengthy or particularly complex cases, partial monthly or quarterly invoices are issued. We are happy to discuss your preferences in this regard with you.

Flat rates

Companies with recurring consulting needs have the option of obtaining legal services for an agreed monthly or annual flat fee. For many companies, a speedy and comprehensive service is a cost-effective alternative to hiring in-house lawyers.
